Proof of Stake requires trust in top Stakers b/c there's no way to countervail their higher stake. Proof of Work requires zero trust in top Hashers b/c it's always getting cheaper/easier to countervail their higher hash. It's that simple. twitter.com/BitcoinMagazin…

Fees will collapse, gas will become abundant, tokens will largely fail to capture any economic rent outside aside from their use as a censorship resistant store of value. twitter.com/QwQiao/status/…

The single biggest “risk” for Bitcoin IMO is the aggressive way the block reward subsidy drops. It’s a dangerous game of Russian roulette in which the Bitcoin network pulls the trigger and prays the price shoots up. So far it’s worked out fine though. Thoughts?

If you use the #lightningnetwork for the 1st time you need to know the channel graph & existing nodes from gossip. From whom & where to download this info on 1st usage? @Snyke @darosior & @roasbeef for @lightning labs run DNS seed servers for bootstrap. #24herosOfLightning thx!

Ethereum is useful f/lots of reasons, but sovereignty isn't 1 of them. This is why PoW is more secure than PoS. The fundamental security flaw of PoS is that it gets increasingly harder to countervail the control authority of stakers over time, forcing users to trust them pic.twitter.com/LhH6MOVpFp

Proof-of-Work versus Proof-of-Stake redux The difference between PoW and PoS becomes starkly clear once you understand these 2 things: * PoS is a modified, weaker form of PoW * Energy efficiency and conservation of energy A thread. 1/

I'm not pro-ivermectin or pro-fluvoxamine. I'm pro-medicine - as it's been practiced for a 100 years. Not by bureaucratic fiat, but by physicians and patients finding their way together. The way we still practice in every other area of medicine aside from pandemic response.

In 2008-09, when the Fed started quantitative easing, I thought that inflation would take off. I was wrong. Instead, velocity - the rate at which money turns over per year - declined, taking away its inflationary sting. Velocity still is falling. twitter.com/jack/status/14…

The blockchain itself is decentralised but what CBN has done is to build a centralised frontend with a static ie stablecoin(a cryptocurrency derivative) as its asset. Now this asset in paper money is inflationary since its pegged to the current fiat Naira puntured by deductibles. twitter.com/thecableng/sta…

Not "legalized plunder". It's theft. The supply of the fraudulent money of the State is increasing yearly by design; this is called "Inflation". This is the real face of the McDonald's menu from the early 1970s. Inflation is not fascinating or a fun fact; it's criminal theft. pic.twitter.com/A35yCvXyck

In 1972, the man in the picture above could have gone to McDonald's on his pension and eaten a full meal. Today, he can't. The amount of his pension has not increased with the increase in the money supply (Inflation). Bitcoin fixes this, because the supply of money will be fixed. pic.twitter.com/whG4x39nTb

In a pinch, the price of BTC vs each fiat currency may be the best single measure of inflation. But it is possible that Google may stop showing this info, and centralized exchanges may come under pressure. This is why on-chain price feeds are more important than many think. pic.twitter.com/hthR8x9R6y

Inflation since 1800. Incredible to think that prices FELL over the course of the 19th century. So normalised are we to fiat, we think rising prices are normal. #Bitcoin fixes this. So does #Gold pic.twitter.com/ixwyZ2PS91
