
Today I learned a term that captures why I care about aesthetics: introjection. It refers to the mind’s tendency to structure the internal world with patterns perceived externally. I worry that if we make environments ugly/homogenous/boring then our minds follow suit.

- "You can become beautiful by surrounding yourself with beautiful things: clothes, furniture, paintings, people" - not sure I agree with this, or at least the word "can" is doing a lot of work.
